The Dystonia Coalition (DC) is seeking applications for its Career Development and Pilot Projects programs.
Career Development Program
The goal of the DC’s Career Development Program is to facilitate career development for junior investigators interested in clinical and translational research relating to dystonia, or to provide a mechanism for more senior investigators from other fields to get involved in dystonia research.
Applications must focus on dystonia. In particular, the DC is interested in applicants focusing on projects that exploit data and/or resources already collected by the DC, as well as projects that encourage collaborations by involving different centers of the DC.
The program is sponsored by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), the Office of Rare Diseases Research (ORDR) in the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), and the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation (DMRF).
Applications must be received by April 15, 2021. Review will occur in May 2021; awards can begin as early as July 2021.
Pilot Projects Program
The goal of the DC’s Pilot Projects Program is to foster the most promising clinical and translational studies of direct relevance to dystonia.
Applications must focus on clinical or translational projects with direct relevance to dystonia. In particular, the DC is interested in applicants focusing on projects that exploit data and/or resources already collected by the DC, as well as projects that encourage collaborations by involving different centers of the DC, although independent projects related to dystonia are also welcome.
The program is sponsored by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), the Office of Rare Diseases Research (ORDR) in the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), and several patient advocacy groups.
Applications must be received by April 15, 2021. Review will occur in May 2021; awards can begin as early as July 2021.
